Hole by Hole review of the La Peraleja golf course, please note that all distances shown are from the Yellow Tees.
ALSO : at the bottom of this page is a diagram of each hole on the course.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 1. Par 5. 495mts. Stroke Index 1.
Leaving the Club House via the tunnel, turn left.
Very tricky hole to start off with going right then being met with water all down the left past the green and beyond. The right hand side you have a grass bank but your 3rd.shot should take you onto a large sloping green, however, beware of the bunkers short of the green and middle right and of course that water on the left.

La Peraleja - and its scenic views..
La Peraleja Golf Hole 2. Par 3. 152mts. S/I. 7.
Beautiful hole but club selection, ummmm? Yes, a green with water almost all around it and a bunker right in front of it, Have fun! Out of bounds all down left hand side.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 3. Par 4. 280mts. S/I 17.
Slight dog leg left with out of bounds down both sides of the wide fairway. Beware of the bunker on the left and the 2 bunkers left and right of a slightly tiered green.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 4. Par 5. 485mts. S/I 9.
A long straight hole but watch the o/b's to the right and all round the tiered green also be aware of the approach bunkers which will/could catch your 2nd or 3rd .shot and the other bunkers to the left and right of the green.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 5. Par 4. 369mts. S/I 13.
Short walk or ride over the road from the 4th. to this slight dog leg right, beware of the out of bounds all round this wide fairway which leads to a small green flanked left and right with bunkers.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 6. Par 5. 478mts. S/I 3.
Another hole with o/b's all round it but a great one even though it has a sharp dog leg left to right. The corner of the dog leg has plenty to watch out for so take great care. However, once round the corner a long shot going slightly right and uphill could take you near to the 2 tiered green sloping back to the front thus avoiding bunkers on your left.

La Peraleja - View to the La Peraleja Club House.
La Peraleja Golf Hole 7. Par 3. 193mts. S/I 5.
The longest of the Par 3's out of bounds down the left plenty of shrub to the right and a deep bunker front right of the green. Not easy!

La Peraleja Golf Hole 8. Par 4 344mts. S/I 11.
Out of bounds and shrub all down the left, wide fairway with a large bunker just left as the fairway narrows, club selection here is very important, anything hit right or left of the generous but obscured green, as it is uphill, will finish in the bunkers.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 9. Par 3 166mts. S/I 15.
Wow!, what a hole. Be careful with club selection here as you have an elevated tee, o/b's and scrub down the left leading up to a green with a very long bunker flanking left of the green but wait for it, you have a very large expanse of water protecting the right of the green.

La Peraleja Golf Course

La Peraleja - Hole 11 .. water, water everywhere
and not a drop to spare?
La Peraleja Golf Hole 10. Par 4. 396mts. S/I 4.
Longest of the Par 4's. Slight dog leg to the right avoiding water where the apex has a large bunker to the left, it then has an uphill approach to the green. Do not run through the green as you will find plenty of bush and a large bunker to the left greeting you.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 11. Par 4. 250mts. S/I 16.
GREAT, GREAT, HOLE, but beware of the water which runs down to the left and then comes in towards the right cutting back into the left side of the green all this is downhill from the tee which you are unaware of. Going right will land you in scrub which goes downhill, also left of the green out of bounds but you will enjoy this one!

La Peraleja Golf Hole 12. Par 3. 160mts. S/I 18.
Crossing the road again you will find the easiest hole on the course. Out of bounds with houses to the left of the hole.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 13. Par 5. 482mts. S/I 10.
A double dog leg left with a fairly narrow fairway to start with. A difficult hole even from around 100mts as the green slopes sharply from the centre to the front and is protected by 4 bunkers with a very narrow landing area. Out of bounds down the left.

La Peraleja Golf Course

La Peraleja - Keep it down the left Ken,
it's outer bounds on the right!.
La Peraleja Golf Hole 14. Par 4. 301mts. S/I 8.
A short par 4 with O/B's all round. The green is nearly an island not with water this time but by a single bunker. Pin position on the day will test you on this one.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 15. Par 5. 454mts. S/I 14.
Yet another hole with out of bounds all round. From an elevated tee and a straight drive you will then go left with the green completely protected by bunkers. This is a 2 tiered one so hitting to the back will see your ball rolling downwards. A difficult hole to play for those having a 50 to 100mt. shot to the green.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 16. Par 3. 131mts. S/I 12.
Last of the Par 3's .. the shortest and by far the best looking but .. you must carry the water to get onto the green, don't miss! as the water runs all round the right hand side and beyond of a long and narrow green at the back. You also need to take into account 2 green side bunkers to the left, both cutting into the green. Lovely green with many contours and another GREAT,GREAT, HOLE. One last thing to mention here out of bounds left and right.

La Peraleja Golf Course

La Peraleja - "you will WANT to come back".
La Peraleja Golf Hole 17. Par 4. 351mts. S/I 2.
WHAT A HOLE! Water all down the left and round the green from the tee, and the wall of the course all down the right. A narrow fairway from start to finish and besides the water on the left of the green the rest is protected by a bunker front right.

La Peraleja Golf Hole 18. Par 4. 380mts. S/I 6.
Bunkers to the left and right to catch your drive from the tee and then to a slightly elevated green. There are 2 bunkers one front right and one to the rear. Anything short of the green will require a delicate chip.

Summary. La Peraleja is a great course to play, fantastic greens and great views both from the course and club house and there are many other facilities available on site.
Sevi did a great job here and the course lay out will give you plenty to think about, but those who play it will certainly want to come back for MORE.

David.
